Ch 9.11 - Diversity
"The Devil likes to subtract and divide. God likes to add and multiply." - Unknown
Narrative: People discriminate, oppress, enslave, and murder the less fortunate. Even if you don't do those things your ancestors did, that makes you complicit. You benefit from privilege based on your appearance. Systemic oppression is real, and you have not done enough to stop its spread. Re-education programs are needed so people can understand the damage they’ve done. Remove yourself from society so you never harm others again.

a. Wokeness
---------------------------
"If you want to remain hidden from the rest of the galaxy maybe don’t build your communist, lesbian, space-witch community in a gigantic fortress on the top of a mountain that’s so big it can probably be seen from space." - Critical Drinker
woke /wök/ informal (adj.) -
1) A state of oblivion only achieved by those delusional enough to find injustice in everything but their behavior.
2) The state of being alert for how noble goals can be manipulated to tyrannically control and destroy American society.
3) having features of wokeness, including radical left-wing ideologies (redistribution of wealth, racial segregation, totalitarianism); wealthy elitist architects; noble goals that serve as smokescreens for self-serving outcomes; bullying tactics (censorship, cancellation); virtue-signaling; fearmongering.
"Woke was designed to distract us from the much worse things going on in the world." - Unknown
"This is an example of how effective it is if people say NO and don't cooperate with tyranny. The woke directive is coming from the top of the pyramid, entities that don't even reside in the US. They are doing it for a reason and it's predominantly as a divide and conquer tool. The good news is the people are the ones with the power as we have the numbers. 8 billion people on the planet versus a handful dictating this tyranny. Do you want to stand up or do you want to roll over? You're enslavement is a direct result if you roll over." - Unknown
How to evaluate people...
- What are they doing? What's their message?
- Are they building things, or are they tearing things down?
- Are they helping people or getting them to indulge in their victimhood?
"The only thing noble about victimhood is overcoming it." - Unknown
"People claim victimhood to make themselves unassailable." - Tech Lead
"When you’re told by society you’re the victim you tend to act like a victim." - Unknown
"Had a teacher a long time ago use the phrase empty wagons make a lot of noise. This holds true here. A few deviants make alot of noise and the upper management thinks ‘Hey let’s be on the edge of this movement cause people want it.’ Only problem is it’s a loud empty minute number of people." - Unknown
"Envy, resentment, revenge and self-pity are disastrous modes of thought. Self-pity gets close to paranoia. ... Every mischance in life is an opportunity to behave well and learn. It’s not to be immersed in self-pity but to utilize the blow constructively." - Charlie Munger on his son dying. It can also apply to setbacks in life and how to move forward constructively.
"Leftism is a religion of self-loathing. It teaches white people to hate their race, boys to hate their sex, women to hate their feminity, Americans to hate their country. What a contemptable, toxic thing it is." - Matt Wald
"When attacking any society, you find any particularly successful group.
- In the case of Germany, it was Jewish people.
- In the case of Russia, it was the middle class (Bourgeoisie).
- In Cambodia, it was 'intellectuals.'
- In the case of America, it is Straight White Males.
You can use anything you can find. You designate these people as 'The Oppressors'. Then you go to all the people who are not doing so well and tell them that they are not doing well because The Oppressors oppress them. Now you have a mass of people you can use to overthrow the current leadership." - Unknown
"They are a crooked and twisted generation." - Deuteronomy 32:5 KJV
"Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." - Unknown
"We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that stupid people won't be offended." - Unknown
b. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
---------------------------
"Imagine fighting a war with this [DEI] ideology.
Major: Sir, we lost 15000 men, 1000 trans-men, 5000 women, 2 ships, 15 planes, 5 tanks, and 10 armored vehicles. We also lost 2 Cat-people, but we suspect they may have just strayed off and will return when they get hungry.
General: Thank you for the update, Major. Can you give me an estimate of what the enemy lost in this battle?
Major: Sir, we have yet to reach the battlefield, but we hope to do so soon. Sir!
General: Jolly good Major, I will recommend every man, woman, and feline in this division for our highest military honor, a participation medal. Dismissed!" - Unknown, on the DEI initiatives in place at United and Boeing potentially causing plane crashes due to underqualified workers
DEI -> Didn’t Earn It
DEI -> Divide, Exclude, and Indoctrinate
"DEI rearranged is DIE. There are no coincidences." - Unknown on the acronym DEI, which stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
"Swapping out DEI for MEI: Merit, Excellence, and Intelligence ... will move America forward." - Unknown
"DEI is the drop you put in the bucket, and the whole bucket changes." - Unknown
"Diversity does not produce 'bad race relations' or ethnically-defined group hostility, our findings suggest. Rather, inhabitants of diverse communities tend to withdraw from collective life, to distrust their neighbors, regardless of the color of their skin, to withdraw even from close friends, to expect the worst from their community and its leaders, to volunteer less, give less to charity and work on community projects less often, to register to vote less, to agitate for social reform more, but have less faith that they can actually make a difference, and to huddle unhappily in front of the television. Note that this pattern encompasses attitudes and behavior, bridging and bonding social capital, public and private connections. Diversity, at least in the short run, seems to bring out the turtle in all of us." - Bowling for One
"One of the big canards of Modern Liberalism is this notion of diversity, as if diversity is a virtue. Diversity is not a virtue; diversity is meaningless. Diversity just means 'different.' Without the critical moral judgment to say, 'Yes, it’s different and good,' you’re not only not supporting good, but you are invariably supporting evil." - Sayet's Diversity 2007 speech at the Heritage Foundation
"The cure-all for virtue signaling is bankruptcy." - Unknown
"People do not want to be beneficiaries of bias any more than they want to be victims of it." - Unknown
c. Tolerance, Cowardice, and Conformity
---------------------------
"The seemingly paradoxical idea that in order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must retain the right to be intolerant of intolerance." -Karl Popper on the Paradox of Tolerance
"We will not tolerate intolerance here." - Unknown
"Tolerance will reach such a level that intelligent people will be banned from thinking so as not to offend the imbeciles." - Theodore Dostoevsky
"Tolerance is a concession to the facts based on lies to begin with." - Unknown
"Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good." - Archbishop Charles J. Chaput
"Tolerance and diversity for everything… except God and the Bible, of course." - Unknown
"Diversity is really just conformity." -Morrisey
“Remember: The opposite of Courage in our society is not Cowardice. It's Conformity.” - Unknown
"Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to." - Theodore Dalrymple
d. Intolerance, Courage, and Defiance
---------------------------
"America is not divided by race, color, gender, or sexual orientation. America is divided into wise people and fools. And fools divide themselves by race, color, gender, or sexual orientation." - Unknown
"They turned us against each other [in order] to distract us from turning against them." - Unknown
"Kurt Vonnegut's 1961 dystopian short story 'Harrison Bergeron' describes a 2081 America in which the 211th, 212th, and 213th amendments to the Constitution of the United States have together mandated that all Americans must be made completely equal. No one can be more intelligent or handsome or physically capable than anyone else. The standards are enforced by a Handicapper General, an elderly woman named Diana Moon Glampers, armed with a shotgun, which mandates wearing disfiguring masks for those who are thought to be too beautiful. At the same time, tiny radios are mounted inside the ears of intelligent people, programmed to go off at intervals and disrupt any thoughts. Those who are stronger or faster than others must wear heavy weights around their wrists and ankles." - Unknown
"Celebrate achievements, character, and moral courage. Not who you share your bed with or the color of your skin." - Unknown
"Lads, a reminder. Certain things are objective facts. Certain things are universal truths. A few decades of social engineering cannot wipe out thousands of years of evolutionary development. The only reason humans in the 21st century can question the laws of nature is that we have the luxury to do so because we do not have real problems. When real problems arise, social engineering gets thrown out of the window. All of a sudden, strength matters. All of a sudden, masculinity is not toxic. All of a sudden, genders exist. All of a sudden, competence is the highest virtue. All of a sudden, weakness is despised, not glorified. The truth will always triumph over lies and deceit, no matter how hard it is enforced." - Unknown
"Civilization was built over and over again by people separated by genes, languages, cultures, and religions. They all had the same ideas about marriage, family, war, order, etc.— a view of 'the good' to yield human flourishing. Your ideas aren't better!" - Unknown
"For Aristotle, democracy is possible only within homogeneous ethnic groups, while despots have always reigned over highly fragmented societies. A multi-ethnic society is thus necessarily anti-democratic and chaotic, for it lacks philia, this profound, flesh-and-blood fraternity of citizens. Tyrants and despots divide and rule, they want the City divided by ethnic rivalries. The indispensable condition for ensuring a people's sovereignty accordingly resides in its unity. Ethnic chaos prevents all philia from developing." - Unknown
"If you need special rules or laws to say you are equal....guess what? You're not equal at all. The very existence of these rules or laws are stating unequivocally that you are not because others do not require such rules and laws." - Unknown
"Equality under the law turned into equality of opportunity, which turned into equality of outcome, which is turning into eliminating equality under the law." - Nivi
"They want the white to be sorry for his color and the black to feel victimized and the men to resent their masculinity and the women to resent their femininity and the little children to be indoctrinated with gender orientations and the families to be deconstructed and the faith to be mocked and to twist the freedom of the press to be defined only by their moral, absolute understanding." - Salman Al-Ansari: The US Left Ideology Is Incompatible With Human Nature
"I don't have pronouns. I have adjectives. I identify as handsome/brilliant." - Matt Walsh
e. Japan/Korea
---------------------------
"There's a reason Japan is the safest, cleanest country in the world. And they want to keep it that way. If you want to get a residency permit, you need to pass several exams and their point system. It keeps the low life, criminals, and riff raff out." - Unknown
"Cars, watches, game systems, anything Made in Japan, I buy. Why? Because Japanese make quality, not as good as in the 1990s or 2000s, but I love Japanese for who they are and that they are never apologetic for who they are." - Unknown
"I’ve visited Japan many times and I am continuously impressed by what pride people take in craftsmanship and customer service. From the 7-11 shop attendant to the chef of the finest restaurant, everyone seems to be on continuous high alert how to do their job better, and with a better attitude. It’s how people derive their self-esteem. We used to have that here, and I miss it." - Unknown
"Koreans came up from nothing in the auto business. They worked 84 hours a week with no overtime for more than a decade. At the same time every Korean child came home from grade school, and worked with a tutor for four full hours in the afternoon and the evening, driven by these Tiger Moms. Are you surprised when you lose to people like that? Only if you're a total idiot." - Unknown
