Ch 6.3 - P*rn/Social Media/Video Games
"The same voice telling you to bitch out, watch porn, and play video games is the voice telling you not to take a cold shower or start your side hustle." - Hamza
Narrative: Porn, social media, and video games are harmless fun.
You are fed a steady diet of distraction. Your real life becomes less fun by gorging on fun stuff, which varies for different people (social media/video games/p*rn). You will notice benefits in two weeks when you quit these vices.
a. P*rn
---------------------———
"Makes you think…
Sperm Cell #50,642,566: I can’t wait to experience life!
Sperm Cell #182,398,128: I’ll be a world-class athlete!
Sperm Cell #267,981,483: I’ll travel around the world and create wonderful memories!
Sperm Cell #288,237,183: I’ll invent the first spaceship capable of intergalactic travel!
All Sperm Cells: May the best one win!!!” - Unknown, after all the cells end up dead in a wastebasket after watching porn (there are 80m to 300m sperm per ejaculate)
pornography - pôr-nŏg′rə-fē - noun - Sexually explicit writing, images, or video whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal. Pornography comes from the Hellenistic Greek adjective pornographos, literally meaning writing about prostitutes.
"So called 'sexual liberation' is a form of social control intent on making you a slave to your passions, which is why so much of it is free." - Unknown
"Porn turns our women into prostitutes and our men into cucks." - Unknown
"And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot." - Micah 1:7 KJV
Prehistory-1860 - Cave art, pottery, drawings, and sculpture
1860-1977 - Photographic images, motion pictures, peepshow booths
1977-1991 - Porn videos delivered into homes / Softcore porn on cable TV
1991-2004 - Downloadable porn via home internet. Pay-per-view format.
2004-Present - User-generated porn. The revenue model shifts to advertisements. Porn is universally accessible.
"You see, a pimp's love is very different from that of a square." - Unknown,
A square gives unconditional love based on an idealized image of the woman. A pimp gives conditional love based on a woman's ability to generate revenue. A pimp only sees a woman's flaws and insecurities, and their business model depends on being able to recognize and respond to them.
The digital pimps on the internet work the same way. Before the internet, pimps went by names like Iceberg Slim, Captain Save-a-Ho, Bishop Don Magic Juan, Pimpin' Ken, and Fillmore Slim. Today digital pimps go by names like Onlyfans, XVideos, PornHub, XHamster, and YouPorn. They also still operate the same way. You will only be eligible for the AVN Award through sufficient degradation and perversion. Today there are over 100 categories, including Unsung Starlet of the Year, MILF Performer of the Year, and Best Three-Way Sex Scene - G/G/B.
The other difference is real pimps typically take all the prostitute's money. OnlyFans takes only half (no pun intended). That's because, as they say, 'Pimpin' ain't easy.' Real life pimping is a felony, prostitution is a misdemeanor, and, well, digital pimping is legal in all 50 states.
"Selling is legal. F*cking is legal. Why isn't selling f*cking legal?" - George Carlin was once again proven right. Selling f*cking is legal as long as it's done virtually. The oldest profession meets the newest scam.
"US man spends over $250,000 on 'cam girl', kills parents and brother for trying to make him quit watching porn." - Unknown
"Has anyone ever thought about how weird it is that we like watching p*rn? I mean, we're the only living animal out of millions who think it's satisfying to watch others have sex..." - C_Julius_Caesar
“We need to stop normalizing getting horny from pixels on a screen.” - Unknown
Instead of having intimacy with a real person, we are looking at porn on a screen. You’re literally having sex with a computer or a phone when you watch porn.
"P*rnography is not a thing to be argued about with one's intellect, but to be stamped on with one's heel." —G. K. Chesterton, Rabelaisian Regrets
“Five seconds of pleasure could be keeping you from a lifetime of success.” - Unknown
“If you think religion is the opiate of the masses, imagine trying to rally a male culture to righteous moral resistance against tyranny when they are inwardly conflicted by the hypocrisy of their own hard-core p*rn ‘addiction.’ Any totalitarian government that wanted to exploit the human psychology of guilt for their preservation would ensure that p*rn remains accessible to all.” - Unknown
"Masturbation is a sin so abhorrent to God that on account of it He put to death Onan, the son of Judah, the son of Jacob, because he was the first to commit the act upon the earth, and it is therefore also called onanism. For the Holy Scripture says in Genesis (38:10): 'And the thing which he (Onan) did appeared as evil before God: wherefore He slew him.' So then, this sin is like a pestilence and corruption of the human race and causes masturbators to live here and now a... miserable life..." -Saint Nikodemos the Hagiorite
“Devil gets: your soul, your time, your seed, your energy
You get: a 1-second dopamine rush, depression, addiction, brain damage, erectile dysfunction, relationship issues” - Unknown
"P*rnography, violence, and obscenity on TV and in movies will be increased. People will be desensitized to violence and p*rn and made to feel life is short, precarious, and brutish. Music will "get worse" and will be used for indoctrination." - Dr. Richard Day, Rockefeller Foundation Planned Parenthood meeting, 1969
“Your sexual perversions are not the solution to your anxiety and depression. They are the cause.” - Unknown
"For wisdom will not enter into a treacherous soul, nor will it dwell in a body involved in sin." - Wisdom of Solomon 1:3
P*rn. Nature gave us the instinct to enjoy sex. P*rn gives us access to sexual experiences we wouldn't normally have access to. We can tailor our fantasies to anything we want, even if it is something we would never experience. It’s the worst drug to be addicted to. You can be addicted, and no one will notice. P*rn can be hidden. 1/3 of the internet is p*rn and p*rn is free.
“Quitting p*rn is like trying to quit smoking with a packet of cigarettes in your pocket the whole day.” - Unknown
“A man who isn't a slave to his sexual desires is focused. And a focused man is a dangerous man.” - Unknown
"Oxytocin during edging/fap release causes bonding to partner. If you bond to the p*rn, that is how fetishes are built because instead of bonding to a person, you are connecting to a video. It causes your fetish to run your life because you bonded to it. Completely unnatural. Better not to edge because at least you get post-nut clarity and can go on your way. Avoid edging at all costs." - Robert Mulder
"1) What if you never get married because you struggle with porn?
2) What if you never become the man God wants you to be because you kept going back to porn...
3) What happens if you're 70 years old and you never end up quitting pornography?
4) How many different opportunities/events will you miss out on if porn is in your life for 30+ years?" - Gianfranco Martinez
“What better way to spit in the face of God?” - Adam22 on why he rushed to marry his girlfriend, who was scheduled to do a porn scene with another man. He wanted to be married before she had sex with the other man.
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body." - 1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV
"I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman." - Job 31:1 KJV
"But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart" - Matthew 5:28 KJV
"I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me." - Psalm 101:3 KJV
"Walk away from this degeneracy and find a good woman, you'll be happier, and healthier in spirit." - Unknown

“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” - Unknown
"Boys are sucked into a virtual world of video games and pornography, which traps them into a world of perpetual adolescence, with no idea of how to communicate with and treat the opposite sex in a gentlemanly manner, while also keeping them from maturing into responsible men." - Unknown
“Being a man is all about experiencing pain for the sake of gain. Masculine energy craves progress. Progress in video games saves you from the discomfort of progress in real life.” - Unknown
"Video games. They make us feel like we are building status in the real world that helps us survive and reproduce when we have nothing tangible to show for our efforts. They give the illusion of accomplishment and trick your mind into thinking it is making progress when you lose time in a world that does not exist. The motivation and the sense of accomplishment you get from real life without video games is next level.
You can't work toward your goals when you have these distractions. Video games are designed to keep you from your goals. Most people who defend video games have never gone without them for an extended period of time.
For example, in role-playing games, you can get promotions and level up faster than you can in real life (with far less work and stress). Buy a new kitchen faster than in real life. You get a dopamine hit every time you level up or unlock a new achievement. The brain thinks that video games are more important than real life.
The brain loses motivation to do serious things (gym, business, side hustles). People have incentives to work toward goals, but the video game is there distracting you. Your brain looks forward to the video game. What are you thinking while at work? I can't wait to come home to work on my hustle, or I can't wait to go home to play my game/watch p*rn? It can and always will be the video game as long as it is an option in your life because your brain thinks it is the most important thing in your life." - Rob Mulder
hardcore mode - noun - A game where the player also has but one life to live before the game resets. Death of a player's character is permanent and irreversible, including the loss of all progress and equipment.
Real life is like playing a video game in hardcore mode.
"20 years from now you'd give anything to be this age again, exactly this healthy, and have this time again. Go do some main character sh*t before it's too late." - @shazshafig_
Game over. What's your score? Where are you on the spiritual leaderboard? Did you beat the final boss? Or did you waste your last life on something unimportant? Time is precious, waste it wisely.

------------------------—
“Social media is the p*rnography of human interaction.” - Unknown
"Give your kids social media when you want their childhood to end.” - Unknown

"What Orwell failed to predict is that we'd buy the cameras ourselves, and that our biggest fear would be that nobody was watching."—Keith Lowell Jensen
"There is no such thing as social media, there is only unsocial media." ― Abhijit Naskar, Karadeniz Chronicle: The Novel
"You can't, in other words, build a billion dollar empire like Facebook if you're wasting hours every day using a service like Facebook." ― Cal Newport, Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World
"How many likes until you love yourself?" - Ayesha Chauhan, Broken Image
“Wow. I got 11 'Iikes' on my post. I hope my neighbors know they're living next to a celebrity.” - Unknown
"We live in a world of ghosts. We are all half present for most of our day. I constantly catch myself walking while looking at an iPhone. When I drive to work in the morning, I find myself lost in thought or needing the noise of the radio or an audiobook. We sit in a room of people that we love, while we all live in a half-present, hypnotized state of social media consciousness." ― Eric Overby
"I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land. When is enough, enough? When are we going to fight for what is right again? MILLIONS have died protecting the liberties we have. Freedom of speech is such a precious gift. Never in world history has the world had the freedom it currently does. Don't let them take it away from you. Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It's a damn shame." - Oliver Anthony, songwriter of the hit 'Rich Men North of Richmond'
"I knew I had a problem when I found myself saying, to my reflection, in my laptop screen, 'What has two gigantic thumbs and needs to quit social media?' 'This guy'... before bursting into laughter, then tears, then song: the main three things a human can burst into. The fourth being flames. Also the song was the British National Anthem and I don't know why." ― James Acaster, James Acaster's Guide to Quitting Social Media
“No one's life is as perfect as their Instagram feed.” - Unknown
“Dave Cicirelli is an artist who created Fakebook and the Infinity Cube. The Infinity Cube is an amazing hall of mirrors where viewers must deny their urge to take selfies, and if you take a picture, then the whole world can see you.
- Are you in front of the art, or is the art in front of you?
- In a world of so much fakeness, authenticity and transparency have become invaluable.
- Being an influencer is a neverending battle.” - Unknown
“They're training people to be blind-to-society narcissists with social media dopamine addictions.” - Unknown
”So here's what I think is happening. We essentially reached a local maximum in technology where we invented basically digital drugs. Social media is where everybody is now just addicted to this digital opioid, and they're just vegetating in front of their screens, watching short videos. TikTok videos. YouTube videos like this one, and nobody really wants to do anything else people are just totally content. People don't need to buy anything. They don't need to download new apps or websites it's kind of like building someone a TV and then asking them if they want anything more from you. Any apps or websites or Services? No, they just want to watch their shows now, and so in a way, content became the new software where a lot of value creation shifted from the tech stack to the infrastructure of building that first TV. Now that it's built, we don't need the builders for that. We just need someone to maintain this TV, and then value shifts into the show's creation. It's like the movie industry where you, the sound engineers, stage engineers, and production designers, don't get paid much, but the show stars get paid the most. Similarly, at a time when Twitch is laying off 35% of its staff, Software Engineers, managers, and educated 9 to 5 folks, its top star, and streamer, Pokeman, is leaving Twitch voluntarily. She's not being laid off here, folks, with rumors of her finding a potentially $75 million deal, so it's just funny there is this divide where some people are leaving the company because they're fired, and then some people are leaving because they're retiring. - TechLead
"Unfollow all the chicks you don't know in real life. Stop feeding their egos and liking their pictures on Instagram like a thirsty simp." - thehighvaluemensclub
