Ch 21 - Salvation
"Real blessed isn’t one who see angels or demons, but who sees their own sin." - Unknown
a. Discernment
-----------------------------
"People who have high spiritual intelligence don't read words, they read moods. They read energy, they read vibes. The body language, the jealous energy in your eyes, their sense of negativity is supreme. They may not say much, but trust me, they notice every damn thing. And choose to smile." - Unknown
”What scares me the very most about people who actually trust pyschopaths like Bill Gates is that their gut instinct & discernment is so incredibly off that they truly don't sense anything suspect; that level of disconnection from your intuition absolutely terrifies me.” - @krysticmystic
dis·cern·ment - noun - the ability to judge well. In Christian contexts, discernment is the perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual guidance and understanding. From the Latin word discernere, meaning "separate."
"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." - Genesis 3 4:5 KJV
"The buyer and seller of lies are equals. Those who want to be deceived will be." - Shane Sedore
"If it starts with:
- studies suggest
- experts are saying
- scientists believe
- according to research
- majority of people believe
- polls indicate
- anonymous sources say
It's a lie!" - Unknown
"for we did not follow cleverly devised tales…" - 2 Peter 1:16 KJV
"Blaming them for the way we behave isn’t going to solve our problems." - Shane Sedore
"We are the origin of all coming evil." - Carl Gustav Jung
"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord." - Ephesians 5:6–10 KJV
b. Prayer
-----------------------------
"God? You there? A little help, please. thx" - Unknown
"Dear God, fix me when I’m the problem and protect me when I’m not." - Unknown
a·men - exclamation - uttered at the end of a prayer or hymn, meaning ‘so be it.’
dox·ol·o·gy - noun - a liturgical formula of praise to God for example, 'after the singing of the doxology the congregation separated.' From Greek doxa, meaning appearance or glory, and logia, meaning a subject of study or interest.
"Prayer is the most powerful force we can imagine. It is the ultimate art." - Unknown
"Pray with your bible open. Prayers, like a bullet from a gun, get more off-target the further they go. Prayer needs to focus on God's will, not ours." - Unknown
"Truly I tell you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” - Matthew 17:20 KJV, whenever you see the phrase, 'Truly I tell you' that means it’s really important. Jesus is saying just a tiny amount of real faith can move a mountain (a mustard seed is 2mm wide)
"Admit it. At least once in your life you seriously tried moving an object using the force." - Unknown. Didn't work, did it? Maybe you should use prayer instead. If it's God's will, it will move.
"The longer the tea bag sits in the cup, the stronger the tea.
The longer you sit in God's Word, the stronger your faith." - Unknown
"We have the ability to somewhat create our own reality just with positive thinking. And the devil wants to take that away from you." - Unknown
“Whether you're asking for blessings, forgiveness, support - you each have a way to ask…" - Unknown
"When you don't get a miracle, God can still use you to be a miracle for someone else." - Nick Vujicic, on the power of prayer. Nick is a limbless preacher who has a wife and two sons.
"You should either pray or worry - don't do both. If you pray and then worry, how do you think that makes God feel?" - 50 Cent on Oprah
"The Orthodox Church teaches that spiritual works (going to church, praying) are greater than purely material works (feeding the homeless, volunteering, etc.), because the latter often does not help the recipients' spiritual condition, only their temporal physical state." - RooshV
"...when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
for ever. Amen." - Matthew 6:6-13 KJV
c. Repentance
-----------------------------
"The fact that there’s a ‘Highway to Hell’ and only a ‘Stairway to Heaven’ says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers." - Unknown
"Unfortunately, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes, possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting." - Haruki Murakami
"I always laugh at these guys. In a way they are mentally ill. Almost 55 years old, enough money to retire buy a ranch and some horses and live the next 20 years in quiet peace and comfort. Yet! In the city office trying to make more and more money so they can retire and enjoy life a year before they die. Friend of mine that I worked side by side with for thirty years always talked about retiring. At 68 he got a call one morning and left. Came back that afternoon, looked at me and said. 'I got cancer.' 5 months later we buried him. I will always remember him saying to me. Retire as soon as you can because I didn't and now I wish that I did. I took his advice. Lust for more and more money and stuff will eat you alive and spit you out into the cold dark wet ground when its thru with you and your short pity life." - Unknown
"Hope their coffins have large deep pockets, so they can take their Billions with them, to relieve us off the high inflation that has been created on earth, in this way there will be an inflation problem in Heaven, but not on earth, so we will then all live happier on earth... Nature is the equaliser by ensuring us all that we all have only one stomach each, so no one can over eat on earth nor in heaven. Amen........" - Unknown
"My greatest fear isn't failure. It is succeeding at something that doesn't matter." - Unknown
"Customer 1: Five coffees, please. Two for us and three hanging.
Me: What’s this about hanging coffee?
Waiter: Wait, and you'll see.
Customer 2: Three for them and four hanging coffees
Homeless man: Do you have a coffee hanging?
Waiter: Yes, we do, sir
People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink." - Unknown
"In A World Where Everything Can Be Bought, STAY PRICELESS!" - Unknown
"I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know that it's not the answer." - Jim Carrey
"God punishes you by giving you everything you could ever want. See if you can handle it." - Mike Tyson
“Money is like manure. It stinks when you pile it; it grows when you spread it.” - J. R. D. Tata
"Bilzerian: It's crazy. I'm worth like $350 million dollars. You know a lot of people equate money to happiness and it's not. It's more freedom. What people don't understand it's like once you have basic needs met, you don't get incremental happiness from more money. You do for a short period of time. Like if you're a $100,000 a year guy and I bump you to $200,000, you're going to be happy, but that's not gonna last. You're going to get used to $200,000. My problem is you know a lot of rich people there's nothing that I buy that brings me happiness. I bought a Ferrari, I wasn't happy for more than 24 hours, put a 100 miles on the f*cking thing in a year, and got rid of it. You know, like I just didn't care. I can't get pleasure spikes anymore. Being a pleasure seeker is like being a drug addict. You take a Percocet makes you feel good. You know now, two weeks later, you got to take two more Percocets to get the same feeling. Three weeks later, you're taking three, four, five. Then eventually, you're taking them just to not feel like sh*t, and you don't get high anymore. Same thing with pleasure. Pleasure is like fleeting and pleasure is one of those feelings like it's a black hole.
Interviewer: So what makes you happy?
Bilzerian: Of f*ck. Surfing. Hanging out with my friends. I mean, like the sh*t that doesn't cost money, to be honest with you. It's kind of funny, but like the stuff that you really will get happiness from... I know it's a cliche, but it doesn't f*cking cost money. I mean, I have all the money. I've done all the sh*t. But it's the stuff that doesn't really cost money that's the sh*t that makes me happy." - Dan Bilzerian on money and happiness
“When you’re favored by God you’re also favored by the devil. He’s coming for you too. So you just got to be strong and stay on the right side. Who’s side are you going to go on? He’s going to give you power too. He’s going to get in your head too. But who’s side are you going to stay with? You stay with the one who brought you here. You go home with the guy that brought you to the dance. You know? You have to be disciplined. Discipline is doing what you hate to do but do it like you love it. Just remember God loves you and he’s after you too. It’s a war. You gotta really believe that. If you don’t believe it you’ll find out. Need faith brother. Because you’re not smarter than Satan brother. I know you may think you’re smarter than Satan. You need faith. You need faith brother. He’s good. He knows your weakness. He knows you before you existing. You can’t talk slick to him. He gives you your thoughts probably sometimes.” - Mike Tyson
"When a man is old he doesn’t care what he remembers. He cares how he is remembered." - Dusk, Foundation
"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." - James 2:26 KJV
"It's like people don't even want to look at their sin. We can get so full of pride, that we just want to blame everything on anything outside of us." - letsbefriends podcast
"It's no longer a sin. It's a complex, it's an addiction, it's a disorder, it's an obsession. So we don't feel bad about our sins. We change the name of them. And when we hear the truth preach, we feel conviction but we condemn the preacher as hate speech" - Unknown
"Conscious and hardened resistance to the truth leads man away from humility and repentance, and without repentance there can be no forgiveness. That is why the sin of blasphemy against the Spirit cannot be forgiven, since one who does not acknowledge his sin does not seek to have it forgiven." - Serafim Alexivich Slobodskoy, The Eighth Article of the Creed
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked." - Galatians 6:7 KJV
"A bigger sign of repentance than tears is a longing for God.” - Metropolitan Neophytos
“For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:20-23
"For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. So then each of us will give an account of himself to God." - Romans 14:10
"We do not know what tomorrow will bring. We may unexpectedly find ourselves in the courthouse of God, and then we will bang our heads against the wall in regret; however, forgiveness and correction will no longer be possible. Currently, we have the blessing from God to be alive. We have not yet departed from this life. We still have the right to repent; we have the ability to amend our criminal record, and to lead a light-filled life. We should thank God now that we are still breathing and capable of voicing a word of repentance with every breath. Let us correct our life today, now that we have time, now that we are able to walk, now that death has not yet arrived." - Elder Ephraim of Arizona in The Art of Salvation
"I prayed to the Lord God for the first time. He answered. I came to myself and realized that I had lived my whole life in the wrong way, that I was not a good or moral person, that I have hurt innumerable women and men, that my worldly achievements were worse than nothing, and that I was an enemy of God, my Creator. I understood that I have a soul, that I'm not just a random collection of molecules evolved from a primordial soup for no reason at all, and that I had severely damaged my soul, along with the souls of others. I became aware of the great precipice before me, of losing my soul for all eternity, and knew that I must immediately make a change and step away from all my addictions, passions, and worldly attachments." - RooshV
"What kind of relationship is it if every time you talk to God you’re just asking for forgiveness?" - Unknown
”Because we worship our way into sin, ultimately, we need to worship our way out. When Christians commit sin, they do not cease worshiping. Rather, their worship is directed away from the Creator and toward created things. Repentance is the act of turning from sin and returning to God by trusting in Jesus Christ, who is the perfect worshiper.” - Mark Driscoll
"If you die in sin whatever state your soul is in when you wake up in eternity you will be eternally in that state. So when we leave here we are no longer able to repent. So we are eternally however we are when we leave. And the Lord is the judge, but I can tell you this... If you go before the Lord and you have unforgiven sin and you haven't cleaned yourself up before him you will not be able to bear his presence. Let me put it this way... In eternity everything good is already known. And if you go to eternity and you are not good, you are automatically unknown." - Dalton Gray
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." - Revelation 22:11 GNV 1599
"Heavenly Father, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being strong enough and for continuously going back. I'm sorry for the amount of times l've said I'll stop but end up giving into Satan's temptation. Forgive me lord Jesus. Renew my heart, cleanse me with your blood. Help me fix my mind of the things above and not of this world. Help me hate the things you hate, and love the things you love. Shape me into the person I'm meant to be, let me recognise that the temporary pleasure doesn't amount to the love you have for me. And because I love you Jesus, I will stop hurting you. I repent from my ways and ask you to strengthen me. In Jesus name, Amen" - Unknown
"You need to learn to fight the devil. Kick him out of your life and kick him out of your family. It goes something like this... Satan I command you in the mighty name of Jesus by the power of his shed blood and the power of the word of God you are a defeated foe... I am the property of the living God. Jesus Christ has purchased me at the cross. The victory is mine over you. In the authority of Jesus name get lost!" - John Hagee
"Ah Faustus,
Now hast thou but one bare hour to live,
And then thou must be damned perpetually.
. . .
The stars move still, time runs, the clock will strike,
The devil will come, and Faustus must be damned.
O I'll leap up to my God! Who pulls me down?
See, see where Christ's blood streams in the firmament!
One drop would save my soul, half a drop: ah my Christ—
Ah, rend not my heart for naming of my Christ;
Yet will I call on him—O spare me, Lucifer!
. . .
Earth, gape! O no, it will not harbor me.
You stars that reigned at my nativity,
Whose influence hath allotted death and hell,
Now draw up Faustus like a foggy mist
Into the entrails of yon laboring cloud,
That when you vomit forth into the air
My limbs may issue from your smoky mouths,
So that my soul may but ascend to heaven.
. . .
O God, if thou wilt not have mercy on my soul,
. . .
Let Faustus live in hell a thousand years,
A hundred thousand, and at last be saved.
. . .
Cursed be the parents that engendered me:
No, Faustus, curse thy self, curse Lucifer,
That hath deprived thee of the joys of heaven.
. . .
My God, my God, look not so fierce on me!
. . .
Ugly hell gape not! Come not, Lucifer!
I'll burn my books—ah, Mephastophilis!" - Christopher Marlowe, The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus
"Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." - Revelation 9:21 KJV
"No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence." - Luke 16:13, 22-26

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." - Isaiah 6:8 KJV
"Then there's one thing you men will be able to say when this war is over and you get back home. Thirty years from now when you're sitting by your fireside with your grandson on your knee and he asks, 'What did you do in the great World War Two?' You won't have to cough and say, 'Well, your granddaddy shoveled sh*t in Louisiana.' No sir, you can look him straight in the eye and say 'Son, your granddaddy rode with the great Third Army and a son-of-a-godd*mned-bitch named George Patton!' All right, you sons of bitches. You know how I feel. I'll be proud to lead you wonderful guys in battle anytime, anywhere. That's all." - George S. Patton's Speech to the 3rd Army prior to the Allied invasion of France
This is a spiritual war. Those of us who are awake are on the front lines fighting the battle right now. You don't want to be the guy who 'shoveled sh*t in Louisiana' in the afterlife.
"You can be scared, but if you make yourself worthy then you will survive." - Bibhu Dev Misra
"You are not human because you look like a human. You only become human once you have identified the evil within you, fought with it and defeated it. Suffering is a two-edged sword. It can toughen you and prepare you, but it can also make you bitter and twisted particularly when you see less able individuals 'making a killing.' I asked two of my grandson the other day, whether they would prefer to be the wealthiest or the most intelligent people in the world. One said the wealthiest and the other the most intelligent. I said nothing in response but they asked me which I preferred. I replied 'neither.' They asked me what I meant. I replied, 'you have no need of either if you are the happiest person in the world.'" - Unknown
”Some believe that it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I’ve found. I found it is the small things, everyday deeds by ordinary folk, that keep the darkness at bay.” - Gandalf

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" - Mark 8:36
"The world will ask you who you are, and if you don't know, the world will tell you." - Carl Jung
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." - 1 John 2:15-17

A: You are a creature of God who can perceive God and give glory to Him, and behold His beauty with indescribable joy for all eternity." - Rooshv
"If I am not, may it please God to put me in it; if I am, may it please God to keep me there." - Joan of Arc when asked if she knew that she was in God's grace.
"Anyone can change sides. That’s the WHOLE point of all this. God has given everyone the gift of free will, and while the battle between good and evil rages, many will turn from the dark to the light, and others… from the light to the dark. We all move through aspects of the archetypal hero and villain, our own, unique versions of the prodigal son…. Or daughter…but a child who squandered their wealth in debauchery and indulgence, only for it to lead them back to the arms of the Father. So we can’t know God’s plan for anyone… How could we when we are still figuring out His plan for ourselves? Perhaps that’s why we are told many times… 'Judge not, that ye be not judged' - Matthew 7:1" - David Oneeglio
"God has a tendacy of picking up a nobody, to become somebody, infront of everybody, without asking anybody." - Unknown

"That is what mortals understand. They say of some temporal suffering. 'No future bliss can make up for it,' not knowing that Heaven, once attained, will work backwards and turn even that agony into a glory. And for some sinful pleasure they say 'Let me have but this and I'll take the consequences:' little dreaming how damnation will spread back and back into their past and contaminate the pleasure with sin. Both processes begin even before death. The good man's past begins to change so that his forgiven sins and remembered sorrows take on the quality of Heaven: the bad man's past already conforms to his badness and is filled only with dreariness. And that is why, at the end of all things, when the sun rises here and the twilight turns to blackness down there, the Blessed will say 'We have never lived anywhere except in Heaven,' and the Lost 'We were always in Hell.' And both will speak truly." - Unknown
"Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation." - Psalm 91:14 KJV
"Jesus Christ, I believe you are God's Messiah. I believe You are the Son of God, who sacrificed your life to save my soul from the torments of Hell. I confess that I am a sinner. Please forgive me. Please SAVE me and fill me with YOUR HOLY SPIRIT. I dedicate my time on earth to Your mission and ask for the great honor of being with You for all eternity. So please forgive my sins, take control and change my life. Please take my broken pieces and broken heart, and resurrect my Life. Please raise me as God's own child into the holy and powerful soul You want me to be. I trust You to be my Savior, Redeemer, Provider, Defender, Guide, Friend, and LORD throughout eternity. So be it." - Unknown
"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed." - Romans 13:11 KJV
e. Inverting the Inversion
------------------------
“The real underlying currency in our world is not gold, bureaucratic fiat, or even raw military might. The real underlying currency of our world is narrative and the ability to control it." - Unknown
Narrative: You do not matter. You are nobody. Hate yourself. Hate your friends and family. You're not special. Humanity isn't extraordinary. More controls and rules are necessary to save the planet so we don't kill ourselves before it's too late. These ideas completely suck the wonder out of every facet of life. Every mystery has a logical scientific explanation. You are unimportant. No one cares about you, nor should they. And if nothing you do matters, you're free to indulge in every temptation, inversion, and addiction without consequence as long as it's legal. When you die, there are 50 more lives after this one that will be equally inconsequential. So go ahead. Watch that p*rn. Play on social media. Eat those Cheetos. Take your drugs and alcohol. Stay home. Be safe. Avoid people. No need for a family or meaningful relationships with real people. Spend more time with your phone or TV screen. Enjoy yourself. It's safer and easier that way. Be meek. Let the government take whatever it wants as penance for your selfishness. Assisted suicide is always here if things get too difficult.
Narrative Inverted: A divine creator made you in his image. You were so important to him that he gave the blood of his only son to wash away your sins so that you might be together someday. You exist with a mere handful of other human beings who are alone at the center of this one and only universe. You might, in fact, be the only actual human left alive. You exist in a world only a handful of generations old with very little time til judgment. Our science is so primitive and basic that it has no hope of ever unraveling life's greatest mysteries. Humble yourself because Science God will never be able to unravel all of creation, no matter how hard it tries. There are no do-overs. You get one shot at this, so you better think carefully about everything you're doing, everything you've done, and everything you'll do with your life. The most valuable thing in this universe is your time and attention. Just the act of giving something attention can cause it to manifest in the real world. The pyramids, cathedrals, and the Great Wall were all built by people without electricity, power tools, or diesel engines. Even today, we can't make anything close to our Science, God, and our amazing technology. One of the most powerful things our creator entrusted with you is the ability to seek out a mate and create new life. Procreating can only be done naturally by a biological male and female. There is a spiritual battle taking place all around you for your soul. Evil forces are actively trying to lead you down the wrong path and use you for their purposes. They want to enslave you and control everything around you. Everything you do matters. You should be worried because failure has consequences you can't even begin to understand.
Get yourself right with God. Get Saved. Eternity with a divine creator awaits you.
