"We’ve lost the sense of awe we should have for ourselves." - Unknown
"You’re not a drop in the ocean. You’re the entire ocean in a drop." - Unknown
"The heart is not a pump. It’s a motor. A vortex generator. A chestahedron." - Unknown (a chestahedron is a unique volume constructed of four equilateral triangles and three kite-shaped quadrilaterals, making a seven-sided volume with faces of equal area)
"Q: What is the sacred geometry of the heart?
A: It is through the shamanic sacred geometry of the heart, composed of 6 primordial vectors of energy, forming 2 pyramids — one pointing up, one pointing down — that the masculine and feminine principles are re-united in harmonic balance." - Unknown
What if I allowed you to pilot a spaceship built with technology from millions of years in the future made by extra-dimensional beings from another reality? The ship would transport you through space and time, could change the world around you, and allow you to interact with other alien beings. The same happens every day when you wake your body up, use it to interact with your environment, and make it go from place to place. Even with all our technology, we aren't even close to understanding how the human body works. All we can do is make cheap knockoffs of the original and generally make a mess of things.
The human body is comprised of:
- 11 organ systems (circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, integumentary, endocrine, digestive, urinary, musculoskeletal, nervous, reproductive, and immune)
- 78 organs (five vital - heart, brain, kidneys, liver, and lungs)
- 4 types of tissue in each organ (connective, epithelial, muscle, and nervous)
- 36 trillion cells in males and 28 trillion cells in females (sources vary) in the organs
- 4 cellular components in each cell (plasma membrane, cytoplasm, DNA/chromosomes, and ribosomes)
- 5 organelles in the cytoplasm (nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vesicles, and vacuoles)
- 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) contain our DNA in each nucleus
- 3.2 trillion nucleotides divide into 24 linear molecules of 3 billion base pairs in each strand of DNA
- 6 elements (oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus) make up 99% of the human body's mass (nucleotides are made of carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen). Only about 0.85% comprises another five elements: potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. All 11 are necessary for life.
"A small molecule such as glucose is cruising around a cell at about 250 miles per hour, while a large protein molecule is moving at 20 miles per hour. Note that these are actual speeds inside the cell, not scaled-up speeds... A typical protein is tumbling around, a million times per second. Imagine proteins crammed together, each rotating at 60 million RPM, with molecules slamming into them billions of times a second. This is what's going on inside a cell... The incredible speed and density of cells also helps explain why it's so difficult to simulate what's happening inside a cell. Even with a supercomputer, there's way too much going on inside a cell to simulate it without major simplifications. Even simulating a single ribosome is a huge computational challenge." - http://www.righto.com/2011/07/cells-are-very-fast-and-crowded-places.html
If you look at your phone, some people know exactly how it works and how it was made, and if it breaks, they can repair it or replace it with a new one of the same or better quality.
Your phone was made by engineers who use scientific principles to build machines, structures, and manufacturing processes. Engineers can combine materials to create new things.
If you look at your hand, it has been with you since birth. It grew with your body and healed when cut, bruised, or infected. You can control it with your brain, sense temperature and textures, and manipulate objects with precise detail. If your hand was severed from your body, the best doctors in the world might be able to reattach it, but it would never work the same.
No doctor or group of doctors could combine materials the way an engineer could to make a hand that worked as well as yours. Instead, _doctors_ use reverse engineering to try and figure out how far more advanced technology works that they only have an elementary understanding of.
It would be like if a spaceship crashed and landed outside your house, and people fumbled for the controls, not knowing how it worked or if they were doing something dangerous.
Reverse engineering requires humility. After all, it is difficult to know if you are helping or hurting the patient when working with more advanced technology. If you were to ask a group of doctors how well they understand how the human body works, what would they say? How can they be so confident when they know so little?
"The human body is the ultimate and most ambitious frontier for scientific exploration.” - The Human Body: the Ultimate Frontier of Complexity
"I can no longer prescribe drugs because I'm convinced the only thing I can do now with a drug is harm. There is no way a human, myself or otherwise, is going to find a new chemical that is going to change the potential or capacity of that temple to do itself better. I now wholly understand that to be an impossible premise because the design was so perfect at its origin. And any disease is a decrement away from that original design, not a failure of that design that now needs to be improved. We are that original design that is the most complex interaction of light interacting with water interacting with protein or that expression of life itself. For that we built these temples called bodies." - Unknown
"I almost did the whole 23andme thing but then a friend told me not to. She said someday someone will show up at my door to take my liver. That was enough to convince me not to give my DNA to anybody." - Unknown
b. Physicians
------------------------—
"Half of what you’ve been taught in medicinal school will be proven wrong within the next 10 years." - Unknown on why doctors constantly need retraining
doc·tor - noun - a qualified medical practitioner; a physician. From the Latin verb 'docere,' meaning to teach, or a scholar.
doc·tor - verb - to alter, disguise, or falsify.

iat·ro·gen·e·sis - noun - the unintentional causation of an unfavorable health condition (such as disease, injury, infection, or an adverse drug reaction) during the process of providing medical care (such as surgery, drug treatment, hospitalization, or diagnostic testing).
"The first principle of healing is to avoid iatrogenesis. But what helps one patient may harm another—most treatments we apply present potential hazards." - Jon Marini

- First, get their money
- Second, A customer cured is a customer lost." - Unknown

GET IT YET?" - Unknown
"More doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette." - Unknown, Camel Advertisement from 1970's
"In the 70's we would smoke everywhere even in hospitals. Of course if there was a sign that said 'No Smoking Oxygen in Use' we'd abstain. Those were the good old days." - Unknown
"Medicine is not healthcare. Medicine is sick care. Diet and exercise are healthcare. It's time we see it for what it is." - Unknown

"Modern medicine knows how to cut something out, irradiate it, or poison it." - Woody Harrelson
"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can't afford it." - Ronald Reagan
"Canada where the healthcare is free… but only if you can afford to wait." - Unknown
"We basically have said, look at disease avoidance as the central problem in your life, no matter who you are" - Unknown

"Doctors are the waiters and waitresses of the Pharmaceutical industry." - Unknown
"Doctor: Your disease is caused by your lifestyle.
Patient: So should I change my lifestyle?
Doctor: Not at all... Here's a pill." - Unknown
"I minimize my interactions with the medical industrial complex in every way possible, and I don't have my medical records consolidated across providers. I tell each 'I don't have a doctor, and hope I never will.' I suspect one of the local Medstar urgent care providers is building a dosier on me on the minor things I go in for, so I'll try to use others in the future." - Unknown
"The doctor comes to the house where the Sun can't reach." - Corsican proverb.
"Doctors that prescribe meds without first asking about a patient's diet, sleep, and sun exposure aren't doctors. They're pill pushers. They're drug dealers. 90-95% of your problems will disappear once you fix your lifestyle." - Unknown
