14.5 - Taxes/Inequality
"Lower income, less educated voiceless people are so much easier to control. Poverty is not by accident, it's by design." - Unknown
Narrative: We don’t have a spending problem, we have a revenue problem. The wealthy pay too little in taxes while the poor are exploited. Government waste is a minor problem. Redistribution programs are necessary to correct for wealth inequality and have no downsides.
---------------------------
a. Taxation
---------------------------
"Tax - noun - Hard earned money that's given to all the wrong people so they can do all the wrong things." - Unknown
"The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest possible amount of feathers with the smallest possible amount of hissing." - Jean-Baptiste Colbert 1619–83
"We got all kinds of taxes Forrest: there's federal income tax, sales tax, estate tax, gift tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax, property tax, gasoline tax, state income tax, capital gains tax, death tax, excise tax, import tax, home improvement tax, school tax, sin tax, road use tax, they even tax our pets. That's about it." - Unknown (this list neglects to mention the inflation tax, which is discussed further below)
"it takes roughly 25 years to grow a taxpayer." - Unknown
"One thing is clear: The Founding Fathers never intended a nation where citizens would pay nearly half of everything they earn to the government." - Ron Paul
”You may have what the IRS calls a home-based business.” - The Accountant Movie
"The biggest scam in life:
- Paying taxes on money you make
- Paying taxes on money you spend with money you made
- Paying taxes on things you own that were taxed when you bought them with taxed money you made" - Unknown. The only way this can get worse is when you will have to pay taxes on your taxes.
"Just paid my taxes. The roads should be fixed any day now." - Unknown
“We'll try to cooperate fully with the IRS, because, as citizens, we feel a strong patriotic duty not to go to jail.” – Dave Barry
"The IRS isn't there for taxes. The IRS is a weapon. They'll never get rid of it." - Unknown
"The IRS is not a U.S. Government agency, it is an agency of the IMF (Diversified Metal Products vs. IRS)" - Unknown on the IRS being a debt collection agency for the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The author also Googled the lawsuit Diversified Metal Products v. IRS, et. al., CV-93-405E, and it says so at the top of the case document.
"As is true of all governments the most reliable records are tax records." - V for Vendetta
"In this world, nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes." - Benjamin Franklin
"All spending is taxation. Doesn't matter if you pay for it by taxing the citizenry or by printing the money." - Peter Schiff
"Why do they collect taxes when they could just print the money? To keep you down, that’s why." - Unknown
"We must keep spending more to fix the problems created by spending too much.” - Unknown
"It’s like trying to give yourself a blood transfusion, and in the process, you spill half the blood on the floor." Peter Schiff on the system of transfer payments in the US, where a small group of people are heavily taxed to pay for the benefits, unemployment, and pensions of many.
Until 1913 income tax was 0%. A medieval serf was taxed at 20%. Today Americans are taxed at 40%. When govt taxes >50%, the majority of your labor belongs to the government, making you a slave. Just a matter of degree. The most powerful way to control people is to make them think they made a choice themselves. The hardest working slave is the one who doesn't know they are a slave already—the illusion of choice.
"The purpose for enslavement is always the same: to obtain the fruits of the slave’s labour, without mutually agreed-upon compensation... if all of the fruits of our labour are taken from us, we are entirely enslaved. If a portion of those fruits is taken from us, we are partially enslaved. Taxation is unquestionably, by definition, partial enslavement." - Doug Casey
"[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a National system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging. By such methodology, we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will affect our security as a charge-back for our fiat paper currency. Every American will be forced to register or suffer not being able to work and earn a living. They will be our chattel, and we will hold the security interest over them forever, by operation of the law merchant under the scheme of secured transactions. Americans, by unknowingly or unwittingly delivering the bills of lading to us will be rendered bankrupt and insolvent, forever to remain economic slaves through taxation, secured by their pledges. They will be stripped of their rights and given a commercial value designed to make us a profit and they will be none the wiser, for not one man in a million could ever figure our plans; and, if by accident one or two would figure it out, we have in our arsenal plausible deniability. After all, this is the only logical way to fund government, by floating liens and debt to the registramts in the form of benefits and privileges. This will inevitably reap to us huge profits beyond our wildest expectations and leave every American a contributor to this fraud, which we will call Social Insurance (SSI). Without realizing it, every American will insure us for any loss we may incur, and in this manner every American will unknowingly be our servant, however begrudgingly. The people will become helpless and without any hope for their redemption; and we will employ the high office of the President of our dummy corporation to forment this plot against America." - Edward Mandel House in a letter to President Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921)
"Remember friends, they said income tax was only temporary. Until next time friends..." - HeMan
"You cannot own a human being! Sooner or later, someone pushes back!" - Miss Giddy, Mad Max Fury Road
"At some point, people tend to rebel against slavery...
- The Owner Will Try to Prevent an Escape [Capital Controls, Rationing]
- The Owner Will Pressure Other Jurisdictions Not to Accept Runaways [Travel Restrictions]
- The Chosen Destinations Will Become Overrun [Illegal Immigration]" - Doug Casey
"Conversely, the inversion of slavery is dependence. Instead of being forced to work, you're prevented from working. That's how prisons work. Your meals, your entertainment, your relationships are all completely predetermined and you just survive until they decide to let you out. At a 0% tax rate if your source of income is anything other than yourself or your family you're someone's prisoner." - Unknown
"Never come between a man and his meal. Taking away his livelihood is the same thing as killing him." - Dave Chapelle.
"To say you have a claim to my property is to say you have a claim to the labor I performed to obtain it. To say you have a claim to my labor is to say that I am your slave." - Unknown
"The tendency of taxation is to create a class of persons who do not labor, to take from those who do labor the produce of that labor, and to give it to those who do not labor." - William Cobbett
"You could end the deficit in five minutes. You just pass a law that says anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election." - Warren Buffet
b. Wealth Inequality
---------------------------
"The billionaires make human shields out of the merely affluent." - Unknown
"They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & sold to the tannery. If you had to do this to survive you were 'piss poor.' But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn’t even afford to buy a pot; they 'didn’t have a pot to piss in' & were the lowest of the low." - Unknown
"The top 1% now controls 80% of the world's wealth. As for the bottom 99%: suck it up, debt-serfs and tax donkeys: yours is not to make a reply or reason why. Yours is to do and die." - Unknown
“The labour and time of the poor is in civilised countries sacrificed to the maintaining of the rich in ease and luxury. The Landlord is maintained in idleness and luxury by the labour of his tenants. The moneyed man is supported by his extractions from the industrious merchant and the needy who are obliged to support him in ease by a return for the use of his money. But every savage has the full fruits of his own labours; there are no landlords, no usurers and no tax gatherers.” - Adam Smith
"The whole gospel of Karl Marx can be summed up in a single sentence: Hate the man who is better off than you are. Never under any circumstances admit that his success may be due to his efforts to the productive contribution he has made to the whole community. Always attribute his success to the exploitation, the cheating, the more or less open robbery of others. (Emphasis mine)" -Henry Hazlitt, Marxism in one minute.
"Inequality will only increase because of 3 things:
1) Greenflation - Windmills and electric cars are _more_ expensive than conventional alternatives
2) De-globalization - Pandemics and wars mean more things need to be sourced locally
3) Reverse wealth effect - Falling stock and real estate prices mean people are less wealthy on paper" - Unknown
"President Emmanuel Macron told delegates at the Paris summit that 'the world needs a public finance shock' to fight global warming while also creating 'equity' for less wealthy nations. Fortunately, a planned 'finance shock' is going to push people with money out of the globalist camp into the hodge podge of resistance factions. Finance folks have been overwhelmingly in the pro globalist camp because they directly benefited from it. Now, like all Marxist movements, they have to turn on their own, because it's all they know how to do. The academics will be up soon. Fortunately at that point, the globalists will have scant few supporters." - Unknown
"Police: Why didn't you report your stolen credit card?
Man: The thief was spending less than my wife.
Police: Then why are you reporting it now?
Man: I think now the thief's wife has started using it!" - Unknown
"I'm not one to brag about my financial skills, but my credit card company calls me almost every day to tell me my balance is outstanding." - Unknown
"I need everyone to wish me luck. I have a meeting at the bank later and if all goes well, I will be out of debt. I’m so excited I can barely put on my ski mask." - Unknown
"This is not a scam. Inbox me if you wanna turn your $500 into my $500." - Unknown
“But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.” - Yeats
"In a society that has you counting money, pounds, calories, and steps, be a rebel and count your blessings instead." - Lisa Heckman
”A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” - Proverbs 13:22 KJV
“The WEF says by 2030, you will own nothing and be happy. But most of us already own nothing and are happy - so they have no power.” - Unknown
"Here you can comfortably be an idiot. In the third world if you don't figure it out, you and your family die." - Unknown
"Totally agree...... My yard is full of estate sale tools..... lots of hoes, shovels, metal rods, rolls of electrical wire..... great buys at some of these sales....... one day, all those nice electronics folks have will not do them poop..... watched a 30 year old black woman in my country meat market..... had 3 kids under 10.... she walked in right before me.... got out of an old Corolla, but clean..... kids very well mannered. She was looking at the meat, and telling the kids maybe they would have beef for dinner.... and picked up a couple packages of stew beef...... As I shopped, I saw her being very wise. After I paid for my small cart, I found her adding up her few items..... I gave her a $50....... told her to buy steak or whatever she wanted..... she was very reserved and cried lightly...... I could tell that 'she' had a rough upbringing..... and if I could help her just for an evening, then that is my pleasure...... And yet, we send trillions over seas for all the crooks.........Don't have any vehicle or mortgage or credit card payments..... don't give to big charities...... this is my way of giving...... It feels good." - Unknown
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." - Matthew 19:24 KJV
